Known Issues in the Core Indicators Project

The Core Indicators Project is enhanced by issue reporting from all our users.
As a crowd-sourced project with contributions from epidemiologists and public health professionals across Ontario, the Core Indicators project is strengthened by the efforts of all users and volunteers to keep all products accurate and up to date.

To report an issue or make a suggestion, please use the Issue Reporting form.

Currently Open Issues

This is the list of known issues identified with any Core Indicators product (Indicator, Data Source page, Resource file or Resource webpage).
Click on each issue to see additional information, including: description, list of products affected, and subgroups involved.

Issues are classified as Major and Minor, which determines the follow-up actions taken:
  • Major Issues could affect the validity of the Indicator, Data Source page, or Resource.
      • Colour-coded as Red in the Known Issues tables.
      • "Known Issue" flag is posted in the Indicator Index Tables to notify all users of the potential issue.
      • Prioritized for resolution as soon as possible.
      • Typically require a full revision process with external review by subject-matter experts.
      • Examples: methodological concerns; an error in the data source or data collection; or out of date recommendations.
  • Minor Issues only affect secondary portions of the Indicator, Data Source page, or Resource.
      • Colour-coded as Orange in the Known Issues tables.
      • No formal notification process to users, but included in the Known Issues table for project transparency.
      • Prioritized for resolution when the indicator is next updated.
      • Simple issues may be resolved in an ad-hoc revision by the relevant Subgroup; larger issues require a full revision process.
      • For example: older literature references; errors in the optional appendices (such as syntax); or typos.
