Purpose
The Health Equity Working Group will provide a community of practice for epidemiologist and others involved in health equity data reporting. This group with provide opportunities for knowledge sharing on effective and respectful approaches to health equity reporting, and discussions on what's worked when incorporating health equity in epidemiology practice in Ontario. As well, the Health Equity Working Group will maintain a knowledge exchange resource list on the APHEO website.
Objectives
- Build relationships among people working in health equity epidemiology in Ontario
- Support APHEO members in integrating health equity analyses in their work
- Exchange and share resources, best practices, guidelines, and learning opportunities related to health equity measurement, analysis and reporting
- Collaborate with and support APHEO's existing working groups when they have initiatives related to health equity
